Mike Horn's Pangaea Project is deeply committed to the exploration and conservation of the marine ecosystem. To this end, the Pangaea Shark Project seeks to conserve and preserve Sharks by Exploring, Learning and Acting. The Pangaea project invites young adults to become ambassadors for our planet, to share its beauty, uniqueness and delicate balance, and to give them the necessary tools to enable actions in the form of projects.

EXPLORE - Pangaea will travel 100'000 kilometer around the globe 2008-2012 exploring the realm of the Sharks, diving with many different species, and exploring human impact on Shark populations.

LEARN and teach - The project will be involved in assisting research and conservation projects along with leading scientists to further current knowledge of Sharks in terms of behaviour, ecology, and biology. The project shares this knowledge with the public through outreach programs and distribution of informative material. Through education, the Pangaea Shark Project will dispel myths surrounding Sharks and Shark bites.
