The Shark Alliance welcomes the release of Sharks of the Open Ocean, a new book that brings together for the first time a wealth of information on the biology, fisheries, population status, and conservation needs of pelagic (open ocean) sharks.
Shark Trust Press Release: Threatened with a commercial fishery, Tope Shark will now benefit from protection from UK vessels in English waters.Targeting Tope will be illegal for commercial vessels, with a practical bycatch allowance of 45kg.
